ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION IN FOSTERING INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA

Abstract


This study examined the role of entrepreneurship education in fostering innovation in Nigeria. Entrepreneurship education is recognized as a vital tool for promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, economic growth and development. However, the Nigerian economy faces significant challenges which include lack of innovation and entrepreneurship. The study explores the roles of entrepreneurship education in the development of skills and competencies among Nigerian youths. It also investigates the challenges and strategies for promoting entrepreneurship education in Nigerian universities. The study recommends the development of policies and programmes to support entrepreneurship education and innovation.
